The title of this article says it all. When it comes to fish spawning in my house, I think all the regular fish rules don’t apply. I have done daily water changes, I fed live foods, I buy six of any kind of fish, I have followed all spawning techniques written in all the books. But when it comes right down to it, sometimes none of these matter. It’s all about the cave. I have this dome shaped cave with one opening that is magic. I have had many, many fish spawn in this same cave. Sometimes I have even moved the cave when nothing else seemed to work. I can remember my first Ancistrus spawned in this cave. Also Lamprologus Lelupi, Lamp. Gracilis and Julidochromis Transcriptus. Right now it is in with some L66’s plecos, and I am just waiting.
