The red lizard catfish is a whiptail cat the grows to about 3-4 inches. They are very bright orange (hense the name red), and stay on the bottom of the tank most times. They will eat any sinking foods offered. I had mine about a year when they started to spawn regularly. They spawned about 7 months in a row like clockwork. The eggs all hatched in about 10 days at 78 degrees, like clockwork. the fry all died in about 8-11 days like clockwork. Then there were no spawns for about 2-3 months and the female died. I purchased a new female at anew pet store and she spawned about 6 days later. !0 days after that, the eggs hatched. Its now been about 4 weeks and they are doing great. I searched the web, went on many, many catfish forums, and even went to 2 different states to talk to an expert on the fish. Thank you E. Bodrock for your help. Now they have more eggs and lets hope i can raise more.
